3 Types of Trauma

Updated: Nov 17, 2022

Acute - single stressful potentially or dangerous event

Chronic - From repeated and prolonged exposure to highly stressful events - bullying, domestic abuse

Complex - exposure to multiple traumatic events

From experience I know living with Trauma has a huge impact on who we are in the world and how we feel on a daily basis

It doesn't need to take years or even months for you to feel different. Hypnotherapy and NLP can quickly flatten the emotional charge out of traumatic events.

It may be a challenge to imagine that you can have the memory and be distanced from it and not have the same overpowering feelings about it

I understand why you can't imagine that right now but believe me it is possible. I know because I used techniques on myself to release the acute trauma in my life.

Now my traumatic event may have been very different from yours, it may not have been as bad or it may have been worse. It really doesn't matter - the trauma comes from your own experience and should not be compared to others.

Trauma is trauma it is not less or more than anyone else's experience.

One thing I know, is that trauma threatens our need for safety and will always be there as part of who you are, how you think and what you do, forever in your life....unless you make the decision you've had enough.
